Tejinder "Babbu" Maan, a Punjabi artist and activist, gained fame for his traditional approach to Punjabi music and film. Born in 1975 in Punjab's Fatehgarh Sahib district, Maan released his debut album, <I>Tu Meri Miss India</I>, in 1999. He has maintained a commitment to acoustic beats in his music, distinguishing himself from the trend of electronic beats in Punjabi music. In 2009, he released the album <I>Singh Better Than King</I>, featuring spiritually themed tracks like "Baba Nanak," which addressed issues within the Sikh community. Maan is also known for his work as a writer, producer, and actor in Punjabi films such as <I>Ekam</I> and <I>Desi Romeos</I>.
Aside from his music career, Maan is actively involved in political activism, particularly advocating for Punjabi farmers and their families through his foundation, One Hope, One Chance. His numerous awards have provided a platform for him to address social issues within the Punjabi community.
