Autograph

Autograph, a hard rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983, rose to fame with their hit single "Turn Up the Radio" in 1984. Drawing comparisons to bands like Van Halen and Fastway, the group's blend of AOR and pop-metal earned them a loyal following. Despite initial success with albums like Sign in Please (1984) and That's the Stuff (1985), Autograph faced challenges with label support and disbanded in 1989. The band reunited in 2014, releasing new music and signing with David Ellefson's EMP label before the passing of bassist Randy Rand in 2022 at the age of 62.

Autograph's legacy is marked by their infectious hooks and energetic performances, epitomized by their '80s anthem "Turn Up the Radio." While the band saw commercial highs with early albums, internal struggles and industry setbacks led to their disbandment in 1989. A reunion in 2014 brought new music and a record deal with EMP label, culminating in the release of their fourth studio album, Get Off Your Ass, in 2017. The passing of bassist Randy Rand in 2022 marked a somber moment for the band and their fans, underscoring the enduring impact of their music on the hard rock scene.
