Audion

Audion is the techno side project of Texan producer Matthew Dear, known for his work under various aliases such as Jabberjaw and False. Audion's sound leans towards harder techno compared to Dear's usual electro-pop style. The project debuted with the Kisses EP in 2004, garnering attention for its intense compositions. Audion released subsequent EPs on Spectral Sound before compiling tracks into the full-length album Suckfish in 2005. Dear continued to release Audion singles, culminating in the 2013 digital compilation Audion X. Collaborations with Tiga and Ellen Allien followed, leading to the 2016 remix album Mouth to Mouth 10 and the 2017 full-length Alpha under !K7.
