Biography

Aşkın Nur Yengi, born in Istanbul in 1970, is a classically trained Turkish singer and actor who gained fame in the '90s. After studying cello at the State Conservatory of Turkish Music, she worked as a vocalist for Turkish pop star Sezen Aksu. Yengi achieved early success by winning prestigious song contests in the late '80s and released her debut album, "Sevgiliye," in 1990, which sold two million copies. Throughout the '90s, she released five more albums and appeared in various films, TV shows, and plays. In 2016, she released an EP titled "Aşk'tan Olsa Gerek" and made a comeback in 2020 with the single "Baba."
