Apache Indian

Apache Indian, born into a Punjabi family in Handsworth, Birmingham, UK, immersed himself in the vibrant reggae scene of the area during the early 1980s, collaborating with a diverse range of artists including Sean Paul, Shaggy, and Boy George. His hit track "Boomshakalak" has been featured in Hollywood films like Dumb and Dumber and Scooby-Doo 2. In late 2020, Apache released his album "Whats not to Love," with the lead single "Trip to Jamaica," recorded during the Covid-19 lockdown. His outstanding contributions to music and youth services were recognized in the 2021 New Years Honours List with the prestigious British Empire Medal (BEM) awarded by the Queen of England.

Apache Indian's extensive musical collaborations span across genres and geographies, working with notable artists such as A. R. Rahman, Sameera Singh, and Pras of the Fugees. His music academy, Apache Indian Music Academy (AIM), based in his hometown of Birmingham, England, has been instrumental in nurturing young talents.
