Biography

Ani DiFranco, a Grammy-winning artist and feminist icon, pioneered the DIY movement by founding her own record label in 1990. Known for her diverse musical style blending punk, funk, hip hop, jazz, soul, and electronica, she has collaborated with a wide range of artists from Utah Phillips to Prince. Her most recent endeavors include the 25th Anniversary Edition reissue of her album Little Plastic Castle and her roles in the Broadway musical Hadestown. DiFranco's latest album, Unprecedented Sh!t, is out now, and she is set to release a second children's book titled Show Up and Vote on August 27th.
