Angela Bofill

Bronx native Angela Bofill, known for her strong alto voice, began her music career in the late 1970s with Ricardo Morrero & the Group and later the Dance Theater of Harlem chorus. Between 1978 and 1984, Bofill achieved consistent success on the R&B charts with six albums, including Angel of the Night (1979) and Too Tough (1983), both reaching the Top Ten. She also had seven singles in the R&B Top 40 during this period, with "Too Tough" reaching the Top Ten. Although her career slowed after 1984, Bofill made a comeback with albums like Intuition (1988), I Wanna Love Somebody (1993), and Love in Slow Motion (1996), all charting on the R&B charts.
