Alberto Cortez

Alberto Cortéz, born as the first son in a large family, discovered his passion for music and songwriting at a young age. He honed his musical skills by studying piano at the Chopin Conservatory in Mendoza before embarking on a journey to Europe, where he was influenced by prominent artists such as Georges Brassens and Jacques Brel. Cortéz's career took off when he recorded his debut album, "Welcome to the Latin Club," in 1961, marking the beginning of a prolific period of annual album releases and international tours.

Throughout his musical career, Cortéz drew inspiration from the works of classic Spanish writers and poets, infusing his songs with rich lyrical content. His discography includes notable albums such as "Poemas y Canciones, Vol. 1 and 2," which showcased his deep connection to the great Spanish literary tradition.
