Adult Mom

Indie-rock quartet Adult Mom's fourth album, Natural Causes, sees the band embracing a new emotional register of burning rage, following a decade of grappling with pain and disillusionment since their debut. Principal songwriter and lead vocalist Stevie Knipe penned the songs during a tumultuous period from 2020 to 2023, marked by personal upheaval and intensive cancer treatment in their late twenties. Confronted with their mortality, Knipe found a new ferocity in addressing past trauma and toxic relationships, channeling feelings of anger and defiance into their music.
