Biography

Adia Victoria, a Nashville-based singer/songwriter, gained recognition for her gothic indie blues sound with her 2016 debut album, Beyond the Bloodhounds, released by Atlantic Records. Raised in a Seventh Day Adventist family in South Carolina, Victoria's introverted nature led her to writing poems and short stories before discovering her passion for music and vintage acoustic blues. After honing her craft in Nashville's club scene, she released singles and EPs, including a French-sung EP and classic blues covers, before partnering with producers Aaron Dessner and T-Bone Burnett for her subsequent albums, Silences and A Southern Gothic.

Victoria's musical journey began with her debut single "Stuck in the South" in 2014, leading to a record deal with Atlantic Records and the release of Beyond the Bloodhounds in 2016. She continued to evolve her sound with EPs like How It Feels and Baby Blues, showcasing her versatility and literary influences. Collaborating with acclaimed producers like Aaron Dessner and T-Bone Burnett, Victoria's albums Silences and A Southern Gothic further solidified her reputation as a compelling storyteller, delving into themes of Southern identity with guest appearances from artists like Jason Isbell and Margo Price.
