Martin Gretschmann, also known as Acid Pauli, has spent the last two decades exploring innovative and eclectic music outside of mainstream conventions, delving into psychedelic and adventurous sounds rich with musicality. Rising to prominence in the mid-1990s under the pseudonym Console, Gretschmann later joined The Notwist, infusing the band with his electronic influences. In recent years, he has focused on his solo project Acid Pauli, producing records, remixes, and podcasts. Since 2011, Acid Pauli has been based in Berlin, where he is a member of the collective The Feathered Sun.
In 2012, Acid Pauli released his debut album "Mst" on Clown & Sunset, followed by his second album "BLD" on his own label, Ouïe, in 2017. He co-founded Ouïe with Nico Stojan and self-released their first record. Notably, Acid Pauli gained recognition for his track "Nana," featured on the Pampa Records label compilation in 2016. Additionally, he composed the music for the film "Es war einmal Indianerland (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)" in collaboration with director Ilker Çatak, based on the novel by Nils Mohl, with the soundtrack released in conjunction with the film's premiere in autumn 2017.
