Formed in 2009 by Cube Entertainment, 4Minute is a Korean dance-pop girl group from Seoul comprising Heo Ga-yoon, Jeon Ji-yoon, Kim Hyun-a, Kwon So-hyun, and Nam Ji-hyun. Their debut single "Hot Issue" led to the release of their first EP, For Muzik, in August 2009. The group expanded internationally in 2010 after signing with Universal Music Group, performing in countries like Hong Kong and the Philippines. Their success continued with chart-topping releases like Hit Your Heart, Diamond, 4Minutes Left, and Kim Hyun-a's solo EP Bubble Pop! In 2015, their EP Crazy topped Billboard's World Albums chart, marking a significant achievement for the group.

Throughout their career, 4Minute garnered widespread acclaim with albums like Volume Up, Name Is 4Minute, and 4Minute World, as well as appearances at major events such as KCON 2012. Their diverse music style, blending rap and synth-pop elements, resonated with audiences across Asia and beyond, establishing them as a prominent force in the K-pop scene. The group's international success and innovative sound solidified their position as one of the leading girl groups in the industry, culminating in their milestone achievement with the chart-topping EP Crazy in 2015.
