Formed in late 1998 by drummer Carlos Aguilar and vocalist Max Illidge, the band quickly gained attention with their demo tape "Sideshow Freaks" and signed with No Name Management, eventually releasing their debut album "Invitation to the Dance" in 2001. Posthumously, 40 Below Summer released "The Last Dance" in 2006 and reissued their debut EP "Rain" in 2007.
