Formed in 2004 by Patu Colbert and his sons Shaun and Jimmy, New Zealand reggae band 1814 found their musical identity while performing at church and local events in Northland. Inspired by the arrival of the Gospel in New Zealand in 1814, the band's mission is to spread a message of peace, love, and unity. With members including Erana Colbert, Darren Katene, Neihana Harrison, Danielle Selwyn, Tihema Cooper, and Zane Graham, 1814 has toured and shared the stage with notable artists such as The Wailers, UB40, Damien Marley, and more over the past two decades. With a foundation rooted in history and a commitment to spreading positivity through their music, 1814 continues to captivate audiences both locally and internationally.
