Biography

10cc, known for their satirical and eclectic approach to music, emerged in the 1970s as a group that blended clever art-rock sensibilities with a knack for crafting Top 40 hits. Founded by Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman, both British Invasion veterans, the band's early success in the U.K. with tracks like "Donna" and "Dreadlock Holiday" showcased their witty and innovative musical style. Despite their initial struggles to break through in the American market, 10cc eventually found international fame with hits such as "I'm Not in Love" and "The Things We Do for Love."

After the departure of Godley and Creme in the mid-1970s, Gouldman and Stewart continued as a duo, releasing albums like "Deceptive Bends" and "Bloody Tourists" with new members added to the lineup. The band faced challenges with changing musical trends and lineup shifts in the following years, culminating in their disbandment in 1983.
