Biography

Los Angeles rapper 03 Greedo quickly gained recognition for his raw and multi-faceted rhymes, delving into themes of drugs, struggle, and fame with a prolific output of mixtapes starting with 2016's Purple Summer. Despite signing a record deal and releasing his debut studio album God Level in 2018, Greedo's career was cut short when he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for drug trafficking. However, his incarceration didn't hinder his music production, as he continued to release projects such as 2019's Netflix & Deal with Kenny Beats and 2020's Load It Up Vol. 01.

Born Jason Jamal Jackson in 1987, 03 Greedo initially rapped under the name Greedy Giddy before transitioning to his current moniker. His early mixtapes, like the Bi-Polar series and Money, Powder, Regrets, showcased his evolving style influenced by Southern rap. After founding the Golden Grenade Empire label, Greedo's atmospheric and fluid sound garnered attention, leading to a record deal with Alamo Records in 2017.
