Cathy Fink

Cathy Fink, known for her children's albums, is also a prominent figure in feminist-oriented folk and country music. Starting her career in 1973 at a Montreal coffeehouse during the folk revival, Fink gained recognition for her banjo, guitar, and yodeling skills. She collaborated with Duck Donald until the end of the 1970s, releasing albums such as the self-titled "Cathy & Duck" in 1976 and the children's album "I'm Gonna Tell" in 1980. Following her split with Duck, Fink joined forces with Marcie Marxer in 1983 as the Cathy & Marcy duo, releasing various albums and producing for other artists.

In the years that followed, Fink continued her work with the Cathy & Marcy duo, earning accolades for albums like "Blanket Full of Dreams" in 1997 and "Pillow Full of Wishes" in 2000. She also ventured into solo projects, releasing albums such as "Banjo Talkin'" in 2007. Fink's diverse discography includes collaborations with artists like Si Kahn and Christylez Bacon, exploring themes ranging from lullabies to food in a playful and educational manner.
