Yussef Dayes

Yussef Dayes is a highly regarded drummer, producer, and composer known for his dynamic live performances. Growing up in South London, he honed his musical skills from a young age, influenced by a diverse range of styles including African rhythms, grime, and jungle. In his early career, he co-founded the duo Yussef Kamaal with keyboardist Kamaal Williams, releasing the acclaimed album "Black Focus" in 2016.

In 2018, Dayes established his own label, Cashmere Thoughts Recordings, and began releasing solo projects. His collaboration with Tom Misch on the album "What Kinda Music" in 2020, released under Blue Note Records, achieved commercial success, reaching the Top 5 on the UK Album Charts.
