Biography

Young Dolph, born Adolph Thornton, Jr., rose to prominence in the music scene with a series of mixtapes in the early 2010s, leading to national recognition by 2014. His discography includes successful albums such as King of Memphis (2016), Role Model (2018), and Dum and Dummer (2019) in collaboration with Key Glock. Dolph's career was marked by hits like "100 Shots," "Major," and "RNB," as well as features on O.T. Genasis' "Cut It." Tragically, Dolph was fatally shot in 2021 at the age of 36, with a posthumous album, Paper Route Frank, released in 2022 featuring collaborations with various artists.

Hailing from Chicago and raised in Memphis, Dolph debuted in 2008 with the mixtape Paper Route Campaign, followed by a string of successful releases leading up to his breakout in 2014. Working with notable producers and artists, Dolph's albums like Bulletproof (2017) and Rich Slave (2020) achieved chart success, with Dum and Dummer 2 (2021) reaching the top ten. His music often addressed social issues, as seen in Rich Slave, which tackled themes of racism and inequality in America. Dolph's legacy lives on through his impactful music and collaborations, leaving a lasting imprint on the rap genre.
