Ye Vagabonds, comprised of brothers Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn, are key figures in the emerging Irish folk scene originating from Dublin in the late 2010s. Their music is characterized by intricate harmonies drawing from 60s folk revival, contemporary folk, and Irish traditional music.
In 2017, Ye Vagabonds released their debut self-titled album on their own label, Inglenook Records, featuring Alain Mc Fadden and Nicholas Cooper. The duo signed to Rough Trade Records’ River Lea imprint in 2019 and garnered critical acclaim with their second album, "The Hare's Lament," a collection of traditional songs. Following its release, Ye Vagabonds received accolades from the BBC and RTÉ Folk Awards. Their upcoming third album, "Nine Waves," is set for release on May 13, 2022, with the lead single "Blue is the Eye" already available for streaming.
