Biography

Formed in 2003 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, indie rock band Wolf Parade gained critical acclaim and commercial success in the 2000s and 2010s for their eclectic sound influenced by '80s synth-based new wave and prog rock elements. Comprised of members Spencer Krug, Dan Boeckner, Arlen Thompson, and Hadji Bakara, the band self-released EPs before signing with Sub Pop Records. Their debut album, "Apologies to the Queen Mary" (2005), produced by Isaac Brock, received positive reviews and commercial success. The band's subsequent releases, including "At Mount Zoomer" (2008) and "Expo 86" (2010), continued to garner critical acclaim.

After a hiatus, Wolf Parade reunited in 2016 and released their fourth studio album, "Cry Cry Cry" (2017), followed by "Thin Mind" (2020) as a trio after Dante DeCaro's departure.
