Wir Sind Helden, a German alternative pop quartet formed in 2001, consists of singer/guitarist Judith Holofernes, keyboardist Jean-Michel Tourette, drummer Pola Roy, and bassist Mark Tavassol. Influenced by the Neue Deutsche Welle, the band gained recognition with their self-released EP, Guten Tag, in 2002, which led to a successful debut album, Die Reklamation, released in 2003 under EMI's Labels subsidiary. The band achieved chart success in Germany and Austria with subsequent albums, including Von Hier an Blind and Soundso, with notable hits like "Gekommen um zu Bleiben" and "Nur ein Wort."
