Aos 22 anos de idade iniciou-se na música buscando se profissionalizar tocando em uma banda chamada Califórnia Rios.
Com a experiência musical que adquiriu na banda e o convívio com os colegas nordestinos que as conheceu em empresas onde trabalhou, WB resolveu tocar forró na noite paulista, como não obteve apoio dos integrantes da banda, WB então resolveu fazer carreira solo.
Em 1998 lançou seu primeiro CD e nele continha basicamente o repertório que tocava na noite, claro atendendo solicitações de seus próprios fãs.
Depois de várias batalhas travadas ao encontro do sucesso, WB esta hoje com 10 CDs gravados, seu show também é muito assistido pela nação forrozeira de todo Brasil, através dos seus três DVDs lançados em todo país pela Califórnia Produções e Distribuídos pela MD Music, DVDs esses que teve uma aceitação surpreendente pelo público de todas as idades, mais principalmente pela criançada devido à interpretação descontraída de WB e todo seu elenco
