Biography

Viejas Locas, an Argentinean rock band, was formed in the early '90s by classmates from a Buenos Aires high school who initially played covers of the Rolling Stones. The band's live debut took place in November 1990 at a local club called Alcatraz, featuring Mauro Bonom on vocals, Diego Cantoni and Cristian Alvarez on guitars, Gastón Mansilla on drums, and a temporary bassist. Viejas Locas gained prominence in the local underground scene after performing alongside La Renga on November 30, 1991. Over the years, the band saw lineup changes and released albums such as their self-titled debut in 1996 and Hermanos de Sangre in 1997. Notably, they opened for the Rolling Stones at River Plate Stadium and headlined at Obras Sanitarias before releasing their third album, Especial, in 1999.
