Biography

Vampire Weekend, formed in 2006 by Ezra Koenig, Chris Baio, Rostam Batmanglij, and Chris Tomson at Columbia University, gained recognition for their eclectic blend of indie rock and various musical influences. Their debut album in 2008 marked the beginning of their success, with subsequent albums like Contra in 2010 and Modern Vampires of the City in 2013 achieving critical acclaim and commercial success.

In 2019, the band released Father of the Bride, followed by Only God Was Above Us in 2024, showcasing their evolving sound and lyrical depth. Despite Batmanglij's departure in 2016, Vampire Weekend continued to innovate, collaborating with various artists and receiving Grammy recognition for their work.
