Hailing from Saint Petersburg, Russia, UVULA formed in 2015 and gained recognition in 2017 with the release of their debut LP, "I Thought I’d Manage," characterized by nostalgic melodies and vocals inspired by the singer’s choir background. Over the years, the band has released two additional LPs, along with several singles and EPs, and embarked on international tours while also releasing vinyl editions of their music. However, their performances were prohibited and the band members came under surveillance by intelligence agencies due to their outspoken anti-war stance following the onset of the conflict in Ukraine.
