Biography

Formed in 1968, Three Dog Night was a successful pop-rock band known for their string of Top Ten singles in the early 1970s. Comprised of lead singers Danny Hutton, Cory Wells, and Chuck Negron, the group gained popularity by showcasing songs from emerging songwriters such as Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman, and Hoyt Axton. After disbanding in the mid-'70s, Three Dog Night reunited in 1981 and continued performing live, with Hutton leading the group following the passing of Wells in 2015.

Danny Hutton, a veteran of Hanna-Barbera Records, co-founded Three Dog Night with Cory Wells and Chuck Negron, evolving from their initial name, Redwood. The band's breakthrough came with their rendition of Harry Nilsson's "One," leading to a series of hit singles throughout the early '70s. Despite lineup changes over the years, Three Dog Night maintained a presence in the music industry, with Hutton as the sole original member in the 2020s, performing alongside longtime bandmates and continuing to delight audiences with their classic hits.
