Biography

Formed in 2009, the Wanted sought to bring a fresh approach to the boy band genre, drawing inspiration from predecessors like *NSync and the Backstreet Boys. The group, comprised of Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker, and Nathan Sykes, quickly found success in the U.K. with their debut single "All Time Low" reaching number one in August 2010. Their self-titled debut album followed suit, debuting at number four on the U.K. charts in October 2010.

The Wanted continued their musical journey with the release of their second album, Battleground, and a distribution deal with Def Jam Records in 2012. After a successful introduction to the U.S. market, the band embarked on a world tour and released their third album, Word of Mouth, in 2013. Following a hiatus in 2014, the members pursued individual projects, with the group reuniting in 2021 for a charity concert. Tragically, Tom Parker passed away in 2022 at the age of 33, marking the end of an era for the band.
