Biography

Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler, both from Stillwater, Oklahoma, formed the emo-pop group All-American Rejects in 1999, drawing inspiration from bands like AC/DC, Def Leppard, and Bon Jovi. The band released their self-titled debut album in 2002, which gained national attention after being reissued by Dreamworks. Their hit single "Swing, Swing" led to a deal with Interscope Records.

In 2005, All-American Rejects released their platinum-selling sophomore album, "Move Along," featuring successful singles such as "Dirty Little Secret" and "It Ends Tonight." The band continued to achieve chart success with subsequent albums, including "When the World Comes Down" in 2008 and "Kids in the Street" in 2012. Despite some setbacks, such as tour cancellations and injuries, the band maintained a steady output of music, including the 2019 EP "Send Her to Heaven."
