In their debut album Youniverse, English/Italian indie rock duo SURfACE delve into the hidden worlds within themselves, inviting listeners to embark on a journey of self-discovery through their music. Formed in Florence, Italy, SURfACE is a transatlantic project led by Christopher Martinuzzi and Veronica Chincoli, crafting indie-rock tunes influenced by the English music scene. With the addition of guitarist and producer Marco Carnesecchi and drummer Yuri Baldassarre, the band presents a unique sonic landscape that reflects the depths of personal universes.

The album's artwork, curated by Elisa Veracini, visually captures the concept of individual universes within us all. Featuring a print by Lady Eileen Aston, Martinuzzi's grandmother, and photos taken by Martinuzzi in Sweden, the visual elements mirror the frozen landscapes explored in tracks like "Contemplating Abandoning Hope" and "Miss You," encapsulating the essence of hidden worlds waiting to be discovered.
