Originating from New York City's Lower East Side in the '70s, Suicide's minimalist approach to music, combining eerie keyboards with Vega's intense vocals, garnered them a reputation for controversial performances. Their collaborations with artist Ric Ocasek and influence on bands like the Revolting Cocks and Ministry solidified their legacy. Despite limited commercial success, Suicide's impact on the music industry continued to be felt, even after Vega's passing in 2016.
