Biography
Suffocation, the influential death metal band from New York, rose to prominence in the 1990s with albums like Effigy of the Forgotten and Breeding of the Spawn. Despite a brief split in 1995, they regrouped and released successful albums such as Souls to Deny and Blood Oath, marking their first entry on the American charts. With the retirement of frontman Frank Mullen in 2019, Ricky Myers took over for the band's ninth studio album, Hymns from the Apocrypha, released in 2023.
