Biography

In the early 2000s, Something Corporate emerged as a standout alt-rock band with their piano-driven sound and commercial appeal. Despite their youth, the band's polished, radio-friendly music caught the attention of Drive-Thru Records and MCA, leading to the release of their debut EP, Audioboxer, in 2001. Frontman Andrew McMahon's talent and the band's evolution into a respected indie act paved the way for their successful debut album, Leaving Through the Window, in 2002, followed by the darker North in 2003.

After guitarist William Tell's departure in 2004, Something Corporate continued touring with a revised lineup before going on hiatus. During this break, McMahon launched his solo project, Jack's Mannequin, releasing a successful debut album in 2005. Despite McMahon's health challenges, including a battle with leukemia, Jack's Mannequin found commercial success, leaving the future of Something Corporate uncertain until their brief reunion tour in 2010.
