Biography

Emerging from the remnants of Ashes of Moon in 1978, London-based new wave band Sniff 'n' the Tears gained fame with their hit "Driver's Seat." Frontman Paul Roberts, along with drummer Luigi Salvoni, re-formed the group with new members and signed with Chiswick to release their debut album, Fickle Heart. Despite commercial setbacks with subsequent albums, the band disbanded in the early '80s, only to reunite in 1992 for a successful revival of "Driver's Seat" and later albums like No Damage Done, Underground, and Downstream.

Sniff 'n' the Tears, led by Paul Roberts, experienced a resurgence in the '90s after their hit single "Driver's Seat" gained popularity once again. Following a series of unsuccessful albums in the early '80s, the band regrouped for a European tour and released new material, including No Damage Done and Underground. Roberts continued to lead the band through various lineup changes, releasing albums like Downstream in 2011 after a decade-long hiatus.
