Buffalo-based emocore band Snapcase, consisting of Daryl Taberski, Scott Dressler, Jon Salemi, Bob Whiteside, and Tim Redmond, gained a strong following in the hardcore community's straight-edge scene. They released albums such as Lookinglasself in 1995 and Progression Through Unlearning in 1997. Snapcase's sound evolved with each release, culminating in the concept album End Transmission in 2002. After 14 years, the band disbanded in 2005, leaving a lasting impact on hardcore music.

Snapcase's journey included collaborations with producer Brian McTernan and tours with bands like Boy Sets Fire. The band's final lineup featured Taberski, Salemi, Frank Vicario, Dustin Perry, and Ben Lythberg before their emotional farewell performance in Buffalo in 2005.
