Biography
Formed in 2006 by Charles Watson and Rebecca Taylor after the dissolution of Lonely Hearts, Slow Club blended folk, twee, and ‘60s pop influences to create a bright, non-raucous sound, distinct from the garage rock of the White Stripes. The duo gained attention opening for Tilly and the Wall, leading to a deal with Moshi Moshi and the release of their debut album Yeah So in 2009. Their subsequent albums, including Paradise in 2011 and Complete Surrender in 2014, showcased a more expansive and retro sound, culminating in their fourth studio album One Day All of This Won't Matter Anymore in 2016, produced by Matthew E. White.
