Biography

Slint, a band from the American underground rock scene of the 1980s, became highly influential despite releasing only two albums, "Tweez" in 1989 and "Spiderland" in 1991. Their innovative manipulation of volume, tempo, and structure positioned them as pioneers of the post-rock movement that emerged in the following decade. The band's members, including Brian McMahan and Britt Walford, were key figures in the Louisville independent music scene, with various collaborations and projects following the disbandment of Slint.

In 2014, Touch & Go Records released an expanded edition of "Spiderland," featuring remastered tracks, bonus material, and a documentary about the making of the album. Slint reunited briefly for a U.S. concert tour to celebrate the release. In 2024, a 35th Anniversary edition of "Tweez" was released, including a remastered version of the original album and a deluxe vinyl edition with a remixed version supervised by former bassist Ethan Buckler.
