Slapshock, a Filipino band formed in 1996, blends hip-hop and heavy metal to create a brutal rap-rock sound reminiscent of Korn and Slipknot. With vocalist Jamir Garcia leading the group, they quickly gained a following in Manila's underground scene and drew both excitement and criticism for their intense music style.
