Originally formed in New York City as part of producer/keyboardist Randy Muller's trio of funk and disco bands, this octet featured vocalists Denise, Delores, and Bonny Dunning, along with a lineup of talented musicians. Active from the late '70s to 1984, the group recorded under Salsoul and scored their biggest hit with "Call Me" in 1981. While versatile in their musical styles, they never quite achieved the mainstream success of other R&B groups. Transitioning to Capitol in 1986, they found renewed success with "Givin' It (To You)" and later scored hits with "Start of a Romance" and "Real Love" before their final release in 1992, Nearer to You.
