Shivaree

Shivaree, led by Ambrosia Parsley, originally known as Junebug, formed with guitarist Duke McVinnie and keyboardist Danny McGough. The trio's debut album, I Oughtta Give You a Shot in the Head for Making Me Live in This Dump, produced by Joe Henry, garnered praise for their Americana and alt-country sound, likened to artists such as Tom Waits and Cowboy Junkies. Overcoming stage fright, Parsley's captivating performances led Shivaree to success in Europe.

Following their debut, Shivaree released Rough Dreams in 2002 and an EP, Breach, in 2004, which included covers of Brian Eno and the Waterboys. Their full-length album Who's Got Trouble? came out later in 2004, followed by the covers album Tainted Love: Mating Calls & Fight Songs in 2007, featuring unique interpretations of songs by R. Kelly, Mötley Crüe, and Michael Jackson.
