Shawn Mullins

Atlanta-based folksinger Shawn Mullins gained recognition with his Top Ten hit "Lullaby." After releasing his first self-titled cassette in 1989 while serving in the U.S. Army Airborne Infantry Division, Mullins left the military in 1991 to pursue music full-time. His critical breakthrough came with the 1998 album Soul's Core and the chart-topping single "Lullaby," leading to a Grammy nomination and platinum status. Mullins continued to release albums through different labels, including Beneath the Velvet Sun, Honeydew, and Light You Up, before signing with Sugar Hill for My Stupid Heart in 2015.

In 2018, Mullins returned with Soul's Core Revival, a double album featuring reimagined versions of his 1998 breakthrough. The first disc was recorded with his touring band Soul Carnival, while the second disc is acoustic and includes spoken introductions by Mullins. Over his career, Mullins has maintained a rustic Americana style and has collaborated with artists like the Zac Brown Band.
