Biography

California producer Jeff Montalvo, known as Seven Lions, blends mainstream pop, trance, and dubstep in his music. He gained a dedicated following with his debut EP "Days to Come" in 2012, and made waves with subsequent releases like "Worlds Apart" and "Creation." In 2019, his collaboration "Need Your Love" with Gryffin and Noah Kahan reached just outside the Top Ten of the dance/electronic charts. Ten years into his career, Seven Lions released his first full-length album, "Beyond the Veil," in 2022.

Transitioning from drummer to music producer in 2007, Montalvo's remix of Above & Beyond's "You Got to Go" propelled his career forward. Notable EPs like "Polarize" and "The Throes of Winter" showcased his evolving emphasis on song structure, leading to chart-topping success with the "Creation" EP in 2017. Establishing his own label, Ophelia, in 2018, he continued to release acclaimed collaborations and EPs, culminating in his debut album in 2022. Seven Lions' diverse sound and innovative approach have solidified his position as a prominent figure in electronic music.
