Biography
Sevara's repertoire features songs in English, Russian, and Uzbek across various genres including soul, jazz, rock, ethno, dream-pop, and cover versions of classic pop songs. In 2000, Sevara, a successful singer in Uzbekistan, met renowned English musician Peter Gabriel and was invited to record a solo album on his Real World Records label in London. The album "Yol Bolsin" was released in 2003, produced by famous French musician and producer Hector Zazou, receiving praise from European music critics as one of the most artistic releases of the year.
Following this, Sevara participated in Peter Gabriel's global tour "Growing Up," performing over 50 concerts at major venues in Europe, the USA, and Canada. In 2011, Sevara released the album "Tortadur," a collection of Uzbek folk-classical songs recorded with master instrumentalists at the Uzbekistan State Television and Radio studio and mixed at Abbey Road Studios in London. On November 30, 2013, the Russian-language album "Pis'ma" was presented at the Moscow International House of Music, featuring contributions from music professionals like Oliver M. Smith and Paul Corkett, known for their work with Placebo, The Cure, Nick Cave, Tori Amos, and Suede.
