Scroobius Pip

Born in 1981 in Essex, England, David Meads began his career as a spoken word artist under the pseudonym Scroobius Pip, drawing inspiration from poetry and electronic hip-hop. Teaming up with producer Dan Le Sac, they formed the duo dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip, blending Pip's witty poetry with Le Sac's glitchy electronics. The duo achieved success with albums like Angles, which charted in the Top 40 in England. After their collaboration, Pip ventured into a more rock-oriented sound with his solo album Distraction Pieces in 2011, reaching number 35 on the U.K. charts.
