Biography

At just 14, Adam Scrimshire began creating music on an Amiga 500 and released his first self-recorded album within a few years. Signing with Wah Wah 45s in 2006 as "Scrimshire," he garnered praise from Gilles Peterson for his three albums, with The Hollow being named one of the albums of the year in 2011.

After a hiatus, Scrimshire returned in 2019 with the album Listeners on his own label, Albert’s Favourites, featuring collaborations with artists like Georgia Anne Muldrow. Following up in 2020 with Believers Vol. 1, he worked with musicians such as Omar and received critical acclaim for his sixth album, Nothing Feels Like Everything, released in 2021, which was praised as technically flawless and earned a nomination for Album of the Year at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards in 2022.
