Biography
Since SCHWESTA EWA released her last solo album "Aaliyah" on January 31, 2020, a lot has happened. On the day of the album's release, she had already been in solitary confinement at the Willich prison for nearly 3 weeks. Despite dedicating the album to her daughter, she found herself in a 10 m² cell with only a small window - without Aaliyah.
The public witnessed a unique case that had not been seen in Germany before. The media covered the events extensively, with over 80,000 people signing a petition for her transfer to a mother-child prison and many others offering support. Despite facing what she describes as the worst 6 months of her life, SCHWESTA EWA channeled her experiences into writing lyrics daily, aiming to come back stronger than ever. Now, with her 4th solo album "Awanta" on the horizon, she feels more liberated than ever before.
