Scandroid

Scandroid, the brainchild of Detroit-based artist and producer Klayton, known for his work with Celldweller, is a nostalgic project inspired by the sounds of the ‘80s, ‘90s, and beyond. The self-titled debut album (2016) and sophomore release Monochrome (2017) received critical acclaim, reaching #1 on the iTunes Electronic Album chart and Top 5 on the Billboard Electronic Album Sales Chart, garnering millions of online streams and a dedicated global following. In 2018-2020, Klayton released the ambitious double-album The Darkness and The Light as Scandroid's third studio album.

In Summer 2023, Klayton announced the upcoming release of his most ambitious Scandroid album yet, set in the year 2525 and featuring innovative multi-media tie-ins. The album includes the singles “Shadow of the Drones” and a collaboration with Celldweller on “Waste My Time,” accompanied by a world-building novella by award-winning authors Joshua Viola and Sean Eads. Plans for the fourth studio album include expanded physical formats like Mini-Disc, cassette, CD, and vinyl, with more announcements to come.
