Biography

Emerging from Orange County's ska-punk scene, RX Bandits, originally known as Pharmaceutical Bandits, showcased musical evolution and bold lyrical stances, led by frontman Matt Embree. As the band grew to a six-member lineup, they released albums like Halfway Between Here & There and Progress, solidifying their progressive sound and social commentary. With lineup changes and label shifts, RX Bandits continued to push boundaries, culminating in the release of Resignation in 2003, which showcased a departure from ska towards reggae and post-hardcore influences.

Following a hiatus announcement in 2011, RX Bandits returned with renewed vigor, embarking on tours and releasing new music, including the EP The Resignation and the album Gemini, Her Majesty. Evolving into a four-piece lineup, the band maintained their musical integrity and commitment to societal discourse, cementing their status as innovators within the alternative rock scene.
