Roop Kumar Rathod

Roop Kumar Rathod, a playback singer and music director, comes from a musical lineage, being the son of classical singer Pandit Chaturbhuj Rathod and brother to late music director Shravan and playback singer Vinod. Alongside his singer wife Sunali and daughter Reewa, Rathod has toured globally, showcasing his tabla skills and vocal talent.

Rathod gained recognition for his tabla prowess in his youth before transitioning to singing to further his musical understanding. Notable successes include his iconic songs "Sandese Aate Hai" from the 1997 film Border and "Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai" from the 2008 movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Beyond Bollywood, Rathod has delved into Sufi devotionals, ghazals, and collaborative fusion projects, displaying his versatile musicality. Additionally, Rathod's creative pursuits extend to photography, culminating in the release of his wildlife photobook, Wild Voyage, in 2019.
