Robbie Dupree

Robbie Dupree, a pop/rock singer and songwriter, rose to fame in the early '80s with hit singles like "Steal Away" and "Hot Rod Hearts." Born in Brooklyn in 1946, Dupree honed his sound singing in doo wop groups before embarking on a solo career in the late '70s. Despite a dispute with his record company, he continued to release music, finding success in Japan with albums like Walking on Water and Smoke and Mirrors.
